RN-52 data out?

I'm making a multifunction speaker with BT, FM, and AUX modes. Is there a way to get the state of the RN-52 (connected to Bluetooth or not) through the UART data pins using an Arduino? There is no documentation for the UART pins, and I want to use it so I can display the state on a TM-1637 (eg flashing "bt" for not connected and solid "bt" for connected)
