Budget (including currency): 300 usd or less preferably

Country: USA

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Homeschool student who plays forza horizon, forza motorsport, eafc 24, hunter cotw. Also do some light video editing

Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): i run a 24 in lg monitor at 75fps, and here is my rig: https://www.amazon.com/Lenovo-Legion-T5-Desktop-Computer/dp/B09Y7XC3YD I've had it for a year, took it apart put it back together, used a 1060 ASUS phoenix in it to test for another build. I don't have access to mommy/daddy's money so I'm at a tight budget since I mow lawns for car insurance and to fuel my hobbies and pay for my own clothes and other stuff, so I can't afford bleeding edge tech, I bought it 2 years ago unknowing that prebuilt pc's are more expensive than one's you build yourself. I've started to notice that it struggles with playing games like forza motorsport(takes a bit to render things in like the track the stands and the prerace takes forever to render in opponents cars sometimes. I don't mind playing at 60-75 fps as long as it's smooth. warrantee is important to me and i prefer to but from amazon for the shipping and the support if I need to return something. I'd like to take advantage of the deals black weekend and cyber monday deals.

you could get a 6700 XT, I think that is the best option since the CPU isn't terrible. That's also a $400 card but it is $100 off.

My First PC
CPU: Ryzen 5 5600x
Cooler: Asus TUF Gaming LC240
Motherboard: Asus ROG Strix B550-f gaming
RAM: 4x8 GB Corsair Vengeance RS (3200 MHz, CL16)
Storage: 1tb Samsung 980 Pro
Graphics Card: Asus Dual RTX 2060 OC
Case: Deepcool Matrexx 50
Power Supply: Corsair RM650x
Headset: Razer Blackshark V2
Keyboard: Corsair K70 Pro Mini (Speed Silver switches)
Mouse: Razer Viper Mini
Only changes I have made is I sold the 2060 for $235 AUD and bought a Powercolor Red Devil 6700 XT for $400 second hand (it was barely used, think I scored a deal on Ebay with that).

I love Photography (Using a Canon 60D)

Love F1, my favourite team is Ferrari and my favourite driver is Leclerc

your right. any chance you could check what wattage it is? If you don't want to you could swap the 6700 XT with a 6600 XT.

oh that's a bit low, I would swap out the PSU to a 650w and then grab a 6600 XT.

I just went on a trip and I'm low on cash rn, but thanks for the advice, in the future I'll look into a new PSU and GPU combo. other than upgrading the gpu there isn't much I can  do to improve performance right? I also have a 1060 3g and i5-6500 I'd like to put together in a rig my for my little sister, is there a way i could do that under $150 I have been burned before on ebay so unless the part cost a negligible amount I'd like to buy on amazon

WDYM by burned on ebay? They have refunds if the item doesn't work. TBH for your case I would save to about $400 or $450 then add in a new PSU then buy the 6600 XT. For your sister I would grab a Motherboard+ram+storage+PSU of ebay or marketplace. Ram you can get from eBay or marketplace since ram is hard to break. I wouldn't usually advice getting used storage but you cant find all of that for under $150 with a new storage device.

Correction "my parents were burned by eBay" this has been many years ago so if I can find the parts cheap enough I'll try it. For myself I'll just keep saving, but since I'm taking care of my own car insurance it'll be a slow accumulation. So by then i will be able to afford a bigger upgrade for less. Thanks for all your advice, I really appreciate it

Yeah keep on saving! It might be slow but better than never. If you want you could go around your neighbourhood (if you an adult this might be harder) and offer to do stuff like washing cars/mowing the lawn etc.

That's great, the Red Devil cards are amazing. I personally have a 6700 XT Red Devil and haven't ever ran into any issues (except driver issues). I also bought that of FB. Have a great day/night.
