The resolution at which you want to game should also always be mentioned.

To give an example, if you play games at 4k resolution then an Intel 12600KF with RAM at 7200 MHz is going to give about exactly the same fps performance as an Intel 14700K with RAM at 4800 MHz in almost all games.

 

Although the 14700k is twice as expensive it will get you absolutely nothing in reality.

 

If you play games at 4k resolution then a 12600KF is very similar to the most expensive CPUs.
