Budget (including currency): 1500-2000 PLN

Country: Poland

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Mainly gaming in 1080p, rarely any latest AAA titles. I play Monster Hunter, Payday 3, and recently tried some Ghost Recon. I would like to try Tarkov again, because my old PC wouldn't let me enjoy the game in more than 40-50fps with massive drops to 30 in certain spots of the map. What I am essentialy looking for, is just a stable and lasting system that would provide 60+ FPS with more in less demanding titles I would like to try in the future.

Current build:
CPU:
Ryzen 5 3600
GPU: Gigabyte GTX 1660TI
MOBO: ASUS ROG Strix B550-A
AIO: ASUS ROG Strix LC 240 / 2x120mm
RAM: G.Skill Trident Z (2 x 8 GB) DDR4-3000mhz
SSD: WD Black 256GB m.2

SSD: MSI Spatium M461 1TB m.2
PSU: NZXT C650 (2022) 650W 80+ Gold
CASE: Cougar Duoface Pro RGB / Mid Tower
MONITOR: PHILIPS Momentum 3000 24M1N3200ZA 23.8" 1920x1080px IPS 165Hz

Why I'm upgrading: I recently upgraded my old PC running on i5-7500, and what was supposed to be a simple platform change from intel to AMD, quickly escalated to changing pretty much every single component in my old system except the GPU. I pretty much got the CPU/RAM combo for free because my friend was upgrading, so I went with it for now.

Honestly? I am very happy how it turned out, the performance is great for my needs (at the moment), but I would like to go for higher framerate in some of the titles I play. I left the old GPU in the system because i noticed GTX 1660TI is still mostly fine for 60+ FPS gaming on 1080p, but it starts to show it's age. I'm looking for advice on what "modern" card would be the best to pair with this system. I was thinking 3060Ti but I'm not sure how noticable the performance increase will be in that case. Isn't it worth it to splurge a bit more on a better GPU right now just to be future proof and then maybe think about upgrading the CPU? Assuming of course I would have to, to avoid any bottlenecking.

Let me know if I skipped out on some important details, thanks!

You could look for a 7700XT or a 6700XT, best performance in your price range

Anything above will be CPU bound anyway

I was actually considering 6700XT, gotta do some research and see how they will compare. What would you suggest in terms of NVIDIA?

Also, what would you say is the best CPU/GPU combo for my mobo? Ignoring the budget for now, but also considering the fact that it doesn't need to be top of the line overclocked beast.

Once theyre on sale? 4060Ti.

Right now? Used 3080.

Nvidia pricing just plain sucks right now if you dont need Nvidia specific features like CUDA, Nvidia AV1 implementation, or their RTX features.

5800X3D is still appropriate for 1080p and arguably would be a better buy than upgrading to AM5 at this budget range. But even just a basic upgrade to Zen 4 like 5700X or 5600 would be a nice one. But dont go all the way down to 5500, the cut down of the cache from its monolithic design means that they perform equal to the 3600 and have the same feature set. In that case i would resort to buying an aftermarket cooler and turn on PBO.

Damn, I wasn't even putting 4XXX series into consideration. I thought the prices will be astronomical compared to my budget, but from what I can see 4060ti is actually not that expensive. Christmas season is coming so I may be able to lay my hands on one if I'll make up my mind.

I took a look at used cards, found couple of great deals but I don't know if I want to risk it unless the seller still has warranty for it.

That's quite informative, I totally overlooked AM5 when putting this build together, and thought I might've shot myself in the knee with AM4. Good to know, there's plenty of options for potential upgrade.

Im sorry that i didnt specify but i meant this to be the 4060Ti 16GB. But if you can save up, the best value 4000 series cards are 4070, in my opinion.
