motherboard selection

Go to solution Solved by Somerandomtechyboi,

B150 gaming k4/d3

Much better board and the layout is basically the same as the z170 gaming k4/d3 except secondary socketed bios chip is desoldered on the b150

Due to the board having the same layout as its z170 variant and its a socketed bios you can buy a cheap ch341a bios programmer and flash the bios chip with the z170 bclk bios to enable overclocking

im planning a 6th gen build and i dont know what motherboard to go with

my options are ASRock b150 k4 d3(yes ddr3) and the asus h110m d d3(i think its ddr3 but sellers is saying its ddr4 so let's just go with that) so im confused with which one i should go with

if they both turnout to be ddr3 ill go with the ASRock

does anyone know what i should do?

the other parts are

i7 6700

8gb single stick(will get the same stick later dow  the line for 16gb)

stuff i do on my pc are play gta story and online, Roblox, cs2, sometimes valorent, some Photoshop 2015 and other light usual stuff

budget is about 20k nrp
