For the past month I have been attempting to diagnose my PC as it has only been able to turn on after seseatting all the components excluding the CPU. However after some time the pc would not post even after reseatting the components. The case fans, CPU fan and GPU fans would start and light up but would not post and none of the USB periphirals would work/light up.

I have then attempted to diagnose the issue by using a different stick of ram in my pc (Corsair Vengence 8GB 3200Mhz) and the pc still would not post. I bought a new PSU and motherboard (Corsair CV650) and (Gigabyte 520m H) and installed all the components inside and had the same result. I then tested my GPU in another working PC and did not post but the keyboard/USB periphirals would work. If anyone knows what component could be causing the issue or need any more info please let me know. 🙂

So, you have tried:

  1. A new PSU.
  2. A new motherboard.
  3. New RAM.

None of these helped.

You also tested the graphics card in another PC:

and it broke the PC.

So, graphics card = bad?

yes the graphics card seems to be part of the issue of why the pc isn't working. But then why isn't anything plugged into the usb ports on my pc not work/light up?

I don't know, it could be that the BIOS has a different boot order.
