Hard drive connection Problem

I have a problem with one of my hard drives where every time I shut down the computer it disconnects, and I have to restart the computer. Any advice on how to fix this or is this just a hard drive I should get rid of?

If it's not a dodgy connection, backup the drive and swap it for a new one. Sounds troublesome.
