hello i have a AIO

(Corsair iCUE H100i PRO XT RGB Liquid CPU Cooler (240mm Radiator, Two 120mm Corsair ML Series PWM Fans, 400 to 2,400 RPM)

and ive swapped the fans out for Noctua NF-P12 redux-1700 PWM.

by all accounts and spoecs the noctua do seem better suited so could be mistaken but im having trouble even feeling the fans blowing through my radiator.

was this a wise swap out or should i mess about and put the old fans back on?

Those fans should be pressure optimized. I swapped out my Corsair AIO fans with Noctua and have no issue. You could go into your bios and crank your fans to see if you feel it if you are really concerned.

Edit:

I looked into the exact numbers of both fans and the Corsair fans in this case are the far better choice. They are better in airflow AND pressure.

Corsair - up to 2400 rpm, 0.2 - 4.2 mm-H2O static pressure.

Noctua - up to 1700 RPM, up to 2.8 mm-H2O static pressure

If you wanted to go crazy with Noctua fans you would likely want the industrial line up.

thank you for the response.

yes i thought that too when i looked at the specs, my AIO always blows hot so i just wanted something extra to help keep my X3D cooler.

looking further into specs, the original might be better and it was a poor choice of swap.

specs of corsair fans i saw might have been for a lower spec. oh well...

Static Pressure
4.2 mm H2O ( corsair  ) Vs 2,83 mm H₂O

noctua

* Edit after seen last post. thank you. i must have saw the wrong fan specs when looking, thank you for the advice

If you'd have gotten the A12x25s, those are on par with the ML120s. P12s aren't, as shown above. There are other fans that are better than both, but many are >25mm thick.

I've been using computers since around 1978, started learning programming in 1980 on Apple IIs, started learning about hardware in 1990, ran a BBS from 1990-95, built my first Windows PC around 2000, taught myself malware removal starting in 2005 (also learned on Bleeping Computer), learned web dev starting in 2017, and I think I can fill a thimble with all that knowledge. 😉 I'm not an expert, which is why I keep investigating the answers that others give to try and improve my knowledge, so feel free to double-check the advice I give.

Either are honestly fine, they're both completely solid fans.

When you're trying to feel airflow, is the CPU under load, or at idle?

If it's idle:  The fans are probably set to one of the lowest speeds, because there's not enough heat to need to speed up.

Try running cinebench and watch temps in HWInfo64 for 10+ Minutes and see what happens.

cheers bud, yeah was @ full load on cinebench, my fault for looking at amazon specs rather than the correct corsair site.

i have a 5800x3d so i need any minimal performance increases i can get  and i just rushed into it.

the size doesnt matter as i just cut into the case a lil for my ram lol but i think the noctua 3000rpm ones are the ones for me, thank you ererybody

Actually, I had to tell Corsair that they didn't have the specs on their website for, I think, the ML120 standard version. So, sometimes the manufacturer website is wrong. I found bad specs on Phanteks, I think it was, too.

Which 2?

My apologies, @JoeyExotics, I got the P12 confused with a different fan,  and my statement about it was unclear. For situations where pressure is important, the P12 is the best option of the 3. For versatility, the ML120 and A12x25 are on par but provide less SP and AF, oddly enough,  than the P12, at least according to Noctua's specs. However, for some reason Noctua will recommend the A12x25 over the P12 and A12 even when one of those would clearly be a better choice. They did that with me when I asked which to use for exhaust, citing its flexibility.

I know the ML120 (regular) and A12x25 are on par because I've tested them against each other.

If you mean there's heat exiting the machine, that's normal. Power draw turns = heat. Better cooling doesn't change the amount of heat produced.
