HELP Changing Gestures on Android 12

[GTC]

I recently updated my phone to Android 12 and the new gestures now have the "back" action activated by a swipe from the side of the screen instead of from the side of the bottom of the screen like it used to be. 

It used to be swipe up from the middle of the bottom is home and swipe up from either edge of the bottom is back. 

 

Is there any way for me to go back to this layout. I cannot stand swiping form the side of my screen.

I've never heard of swiping from certain places determining what the action is of the phone, back or home. I've only known either side being back and a swipe from the bottom middle being home, couldn't go back.

 

Check if that isn't a manufacter specific setting or maybe if you're using a launcher, updaing to a new version broke the old launcher version.
