Minecraft Bedrock Causing Audio Issues

SixSinner6

The recent minecraft bedrock update 1.20.30 has been causing audio issues to my whole pc. I have a dual monitor setup, I would have minecraft on one screen and hulu on the other and I could listen to both. Now with the update to minecraft once I open minecraft I can only hear the audio to the game and no other audio from other apps work. I even put minecraft in windowed mode. Ive gone through all my audio settings and everything is the same way they were before the recent update. Someone please help!

Your gpu or sound solution might need a driver update, this sounds(hehe) like a software issue. I would wait for another patch, or attempt to try a different form of audio.

Ive already went through and updated my drivers and bios. So im just assuming its probably the recent update because I couldn't find any reason for my audio to not work. I forgot to mention also I cant even have discord open and talk to people because I get no audio feedback. They can hear me but I cant hear them

Having similar issues - whenever I launch Minecraft my audio just disappears completely. Have been having some problems with Minecraft Bedrock for a while now: haven't been able to join worlds for longer than 20 minutes at a time - before my Minecraft completely crashes. It took less time to crash each time until it eventually gave me a BSOD, and still hasn't worked since. This randomly started happening a few months back and before it worked perfectly. Installed new graphics drivers & audio drivers and still doesn't work (infact, with the newest drivers, it refused to let me join a world at all: the game would just hang/freeze) and now I can't hear anything on my entire PC until I restart after even opening Minecraft

I'm getting the exact same issue. Started since last minecraft update, not saying thats the only reason.

PC will be fine, can be playing a Video or any sound. I start minecraft and the sound instantly turns off. The same speakers are still selected but you can see on the volume bar there is now no input at all.

If you disable and reenable the "REaltek USB Audio" it starts to work again.  Minecraft is the only thing it does this with. After you disable and enable the sound is fine.

The only thing in event log at the time is this when it loads minecraft

Good news—%1 has been enhanced for a brighter and more detailed picture. You can turn off Auto HDR any time in Settings.

Anyone got any ideas?

I'm putting this here in case anyone else is having this issue. I learned that the issue was minecraft was having a problem with the laptop's speaker driver. So i thought way outside the box and connected an external speaker via bluetooth and set it as the default audio device, and it literally freaking worked. Plus, once the game got going, I turned off the Bluetooth speaker and it still worked/didn't crash. Something about that initial startup that is just clashing with audio drivers on some computers. So if anyone wants a quick solution, this one definitely works.

I had an older hack where i played a youtube video and somehow if a (specifically) youtube video was playing while i started the game, it worked. But then it stopped working recently which prompted me to use the Bluetooth Speaker idea. So please, if you read this, at least try that before giving up. Maybe it can work for you too until a real solution comes along.
