Micca OriGen2 output question

invaderSnarf

This is something I would normally test myself but I’m away from my pc so hoping to get an answer before I get home.

on the back of the Micca OriGen2 is a 3.5mm port for Line Out audio. Can anyone confirm if this is affected by the volume knob on the device or does it actually just send line level audio?

trying to get audio from one pc into another in a 2 pc setup, the previous way I used to do it was through NDI, but I want to move away due to some unexplained latency that has been wrecking that protocol recently with my systems

I can't touch on the Micca in particular in particular but IF it's an issue, it's trivial to get a Y cable splitter for an aux cable. They're like $5 or so.

This is the first result from a google search for Micca OriGen-G2 manual: https://www.miccatron.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/07/Micca-OriGen-G2-Users-Manual.pdf

This is the ChatGPT response:

Meant to reply to my thread last night. ChatGPT’s response is also just straight wrong and that second paragraph looks like me in college trying to write myself an CYA in a hastily written paper lmao.

turns out the line out on the back of the Micca is controlled via a toggle on the back of the unit and it does not output to both at the same time, and it is affected by the volume knob. I figured out a solution via software though (voicemeeter coming in clutch yet again)
