Basically my issue is that whenever I'm on my computer in general. I constantly get the windows disconnecting noise like I've unplugged my keyboard or mouse. My controller sometimes disconnects in the middle of games, along with my k&m, And I've reinstalled my USB drivers a few times, restarted my computer, everything I can think of and research. The only thing i can think of is a while back, my PSU shot a fireball out, do you think it could've fried something or messed up my motherboard to cause this issue? Any advice would be amazing, I'm either driven crazy from hearing the dinging constantly or not being able to play the games I want due to my keyboard and/or mouse or controller disconnecting.

I sure hope you aren't using that PSU anymore, it definitely could have sent an unhealthy jolt of power to your motherboard. Have you tried doing a fresh Windows install?

You can use https://www.nirsoft.net/utils/usb_log_view.html (a usb logger) to track down the device that's disconnecting.

It may be the 5 volt power on the PSU, or the USB controller, so check for any visible damage.

Also, I remember from an old laptop that if a usb controller is burnt, it will show while booting Linux, so you can just boot to a live (from USB) instance of linux, and is if you see an overcurrent warning there, or you can see the bios if it has the option

Best regards!

I haven't, I want to do that as a last resort if needed. And no, i'm not using that PSU Xd screw3 cooler master, a month of waiting for an RMA response so I just bought another one from Corsair

Thank you, I'll try out both of those options. When my PSU died, it shot a fireball out, but it was weird, even the PSU didnt have any visible damage, even inside the chassis. I didn't see anything on my motherboard, but i will double check that
