Yesterday on my older PC, I was running an automatic batch file that will loop 5 times and use the Defraggler program to defrag the HDD, and then use sdelet64 from Sysinternals to wipe the free space completely twice. I run the batch file and go to sleep. The next day, what I see is that my Windows installation has traces left. It was gone. I thought maybe the boot manager somehow got missing, but there were even no partitions on the drive. What could have gone wrong? I only told to wipe the free space and not the entire drive, and even if it did try to wipe the entire drive, then Windows would not have allowed that at all. Is there any point to try to recover everything, or just another Windows install?

PLEASE MARK COMMENTS AS SOLUTION IF SATISFIED!!
