Hello, i have 2x8gb gskill ripjaws V 3200mhz CL 16 18 18 38 and my girlfriend has a 2x8gb gskill ripjaws V 3200mhz too but its CL 16 19 19 39.
Im going to upgrade and i will not need those sticks anymore. How bad would it be to mix both rams in her computer so she gets 32gb?
She likes gaming, video editing etc so 32gb would be nice for her.
She has a ryzen 7 2700x and the motherboard is a B450-F GAMING.

should be fine, just enable the xmp profile with the 16-19-19-39 timings, but 16-18-18-38 might also work out

Give it a shot.  Try DOCH or whatever it is, and let us know.  it SHOULD work but we can't guarantee it.

 

Since you have the parts, why not take 5 minutes and try it?

Yes, please update as it will be good info for others with that setup.

 

 

G. Skill RAM (and I hate this phrase) "just works".  I use Ripjaws in multiple builds and it's been solid for years.

Update: 
Her motherboard was able to do 3200Mhz before with 2x8GB sticks
Now i installed the other 2x8GB and its stable at 2800Mhz, no problem even with a ram stress.
But i cant go further 2800Mhz, it becomes unstable, the computer just restarts with the stress.
DOCH is active tho, i dont really know what can i do to more go past the 2800mhz, i dont have enough knowledge in the area haha

Interesting.

 

You may be able to manually set them to the 3200 and CL 16 19 19 39, for both.  DOCH may be having issues with the subtiming.

Okay.  Then 2800MHz is more than fine for a Ryzen 2700x.  You're not losing all that much in the grand scheme of things, so I wouldn't sweat it.

 

I run anywhere from 2400 in my server to 2666 in my kids machine to 3200 in my other kids setup.
