Laptop for university recommendations

Hey,

I'm going into my first year of uni for engineering, and the laptop they recommend is a Precision 3580 (15") or ThinkPad P16 Gen 1 (16"). Unfortunately, those laptops are out of my budget, but I have my PC, which I built recently; it has more than enough power, so I'm planning to remote into it using Parsec.

So, I'm trying to find a new laptop to buy that is still good enough to do most things. The main concerns are build quality (nothing with too much deck flex) and a good screen of at least 15 ". Currently, I'm looking at the Asus zenbook 15 Oled um3504, but it's a bit pricey for me and sold out. Does anyone have any recommendations/laptops I should check out?

The budget is around $1000 CAD, I don't need a good GPU cause, anything that would require some performance I will be remoting into my PC.

Thank you.

These look good, but do you have any suggestions with a better screen, I forgot to mention this, but since I will be remoting into my PC it would be better if there is a more colour-accurate and higher resolution screen for 3d modelling work on the go.
