Corrupted micro sd card

my micro SD card decided to kick the bucket need some help finding  reputable software to retrieve my data looking for somthing thats cheap or free 

any help would be appreciated

Depends on how it broke, but I use Kali linux for all my advanced, storage related troubleshooting

Well, in my experience, I haven't had a single time when I could retrieve any data from a good, freshly formatted SD card, so I don't know how viable the retrieval will be in your case. Good luck though...

I've heard of data retrieval specialists where you send off your storage devices with data on them to recover. Saw a video where they showed off their best feat which was recovering data from a HDD that was in a house fire and smashed or something?

 

Them being an option tho I think their clients are corporations with extremely valuable data as they can afford their $$$$ an hour asking fees or however much they were and how they work. Was years when I watched it and barely remember. You could look into it.

Pretty much any recovery tool is worth a shot but only if the card is still recognized as such. If the controller is bad, it might be fixable if the memory module is bad you're out of luck. Fixing the controller costs about the same as fixing a broken phone or a laptop, couple hundred for sure.

I used to have some success using Recuva but it's been a while since I've had to do any recovery. It's always a crapshoot; sometimes you can get everything, sometimes you can only get a couple of files and sometimes it's a wash. Good luck.
