Been looking through the forums and nothing has worked so far.

System: old gaming tower, has been working like a champ for 6 years with no problems, it is connected through optical cable to my receiver. Never had a problem with either. I dont have a mic connected to the system.

Problem: Yesterday I played one episode and worked great (like it always has been), next one had a very strong echo.

Troubleshooting: browser->youtube=echo, local file mp3/4=echo, restart=echo, scavenge through Sounds all Echo, clean reinstall windows=echo.

Solution: Im here, pleading to make this miserable echo to end.

Helpfull notes: My audio driver is not realtek and I dont have the "stadium" or any enhancements on.

Thank you for any helpful comments

Can you rule out the receiver? What happens if plug in speakers or headphones into the PC directly?

A Windows update can mess things up. Play a movie that you know doesn't have an echo effect to it then go from there.
