SDR Discord Streaming

Hello,

 

As the title suggests, I am having issues with SDR/HDR streaming in discord where my end result ends up being extremely bright and blinding, or extremely dull and dark. I have researched many different topics and and posts relating to the issue, going as far as downloading and using discords PTB version and copying and pasting some code to unlock more settings for HDR streaming. I have watched video's. To no avail. No options I will mention here have worked.

 

I have tried---(And yes I understand some of these options probably don't have any interaction with the discord stream at all so I don't need, "well you're dumb for trying that you should have known it wouldn't do anything)::::

 

*Brightness adjustments to monitor

*Brightness adjustments to in game

*Different profile types on my Alienware monitor

*Fullscreen vs windowed screen in game(changes the bright to dull dark visa-versa)

*Turning off HDR streaming in HDR settings

*Changed HDR calibration settings

*Turning off Auto HDR

*Sliding the SDR slider to 0 for stream brightness

*Sliding the SDR slider to max for the dull dark stream brightness

*Turning off anything relating to HDR in-game

*Optimizing with Geforce Experience

*Making sure I have the most updated GPU drivers

 

What I haven't tried to the extent of the knowledge I have left at this point(because I'm NOT super well versed in this stuff)

 

*Switching to my second monitor. And I won't do this because I'll never play on that monitor.

*Turning PC off and back on for each individual setting mentioned above

 

Is there anyone that can help me try to figure this out. Over a year ago this problem never occurred. Another note to mention is even sharing my desktop background is a drastic change in brightness on my stream. Another note is watching the stream and changing that SDR slider up and down does absolutely nothing. It is a fixed super bright or dark super dull(approaching greyscale).

Pretty sure Discord just does not support hdr streaming at all i also have a hdr Monitor and if i want to stream smth in discord i just turn hdr off

Turning HDR off does nothing for the discord stream for me.
