SSD under performing

User benchmark .com tells me my WD Black SN750 NVMe SSD is underperforming and I'm trying to figure out why.  Could it be due to my older motherboard, an Asus z97-c?

 Performing way below expectations (0th percentile)

it is probably your motherboard as it says that it only supports gen 2 drives and yours is gen 3.

good to know. I figured it was the mobo but wasn't exactly sure what to look at. Thanks
