Mod Mic Suggestions!

So im getting a new pair of headphones and i need to get a mod mic for it. I have a blue snowball BUT it is just too far away and my friends complain about me sounding far away. I would like something that is next to my mouth. I know the AntLion Modmic 4.0 comes out at the end of this month, but due to the amount of people that preordered it i fear i wont get it for quite some time. Are there any other options that are similar to the Antlion modmic that still sounds not horrible?

Many people do a simple mod with the Zalman clip-on involving  a ziptie and a piece of electrical tape - what headphones are you getting?
