Dead cpu ?

Hi I think my cpu is dead its a ryzen 5 3600 in a msi b450 tomahawk max and I'm unable to boot my pc ? everything seems to be working but I'm not getting any response from the cpu and the mb's cpu red light is on soon as i try to boot it ! I was just wondering what would be the best cpu to upgrade to in this mb I mostly use my pc for gaming so any help and advice is most appreciated 馃槉
