Hi LTT users! I’m struggling with an issue on my Pc.
In games, when I play, my processor is above 35-40% and gpu is above 25-35%. Low fps and stuttering so often in every game I play.

What should I do to improve my low fps, low gpu and cpu usag and stuttering.

My pc:

CPU: intel quad q8300

gpu: gtx 950 2gb

ssd: 120gb

What games are we talking about?
Lets just say that your components are definitely getting up there in age!
How much RAM do you have?

Hello fellow Core 2 Quad owner.

Your CPU is the limiting factor, but depending on the ram capacity it could also be the ram. Especially if you have low CPU usage. What ram capacity do you have. Is it DDR2 or is it DDR3?

Also, you can overclock that q8300 to 3.0GHz from it's 2.5GHz base, if you cannot upgrade at this time.

I think I would do that
The game I play is cs go: in deadmatch I have above 40-50 fps with some stuttering, wot it’s running above 35-40 fps, and rest of the games are like that, on low most.

what it’s strange it’s that I have in euro truck sim 60 fps on high settings with little stuttering in city areas.

CS:GO will be fine, and 40-50FPS does look normal for the q8300, though an overclock will help a lot. You should make sure you have "Boost Player Contrast" set to disabled in CS:GO. Also make sure you have "Multi-Core Rendering" enabled, and all the other settings turned off except the Textures which you should put on high.

Euro Truck Simulator is not really as taxing as CS:GO.

Before you overclock make sure that you have a adequate cooler on your CPU, you can send a photo and we will tell you it if is enough to cool it.

With DDR3 you can upgrade up to 16 depending on the motherboard, and if you then wish to upgrade to a newer platform that is cheap, you can always consider X79 which is holding up pretty well.

By the way, you can ask us here to help you overclock.
