Would this build work?

I got an Optiplex 9020 with an i7 4790 recently. I have a 500W aerocool cylon and a palit gtx 970. Should I replace the stock PSU and try to add the gtx 970 or would my cpu bottleneck it?

Should be good it's a nice 2014 system  (I had a 4770K and GTX770 back then)

Who cares about bottlenecks, you already have all the parts. Every system in existence has a bottleneck, just run it and see if it does what you need.
