so i got a 100hz monitor that works fine on my laptop, but the pc doesn't do so. My gpu is a Rx 570 and it only have a dvi-d port and the monitor only support  hdmi so i bought an adapter that supports hdmi 1.4 just to make sure. But after plugging in, it doesnt reconize it...

You need a different card or monitor that does dvi 100hz+.

Its really unfortunate you ended up with a crypto mining recycled gpu.

wow, that's.... interesting, i never know that a mining card can ruin a display output.

guess i have to be more careful buying gpu from now

Its not that it ruined a display output. Its that this card was first a mining gpu but then recycled into a rx570 (which it originally was) but since it was made as a portless miner card only the dvi was present to be added after the fact hence dvi only.

You basically got a scrap rx570 that become a ming gpu which then after the fact was scrapped again to become a rx570 incomplete edition 😛. These are run a bit slower due to this

As explained in the pinned thread, you need to install the AMD pixel clock patcher to remove an articificial driver restriction first. Then it should work.
