Red DRAM Light on Startup

Go to solution Solved by DontBeSillyWrapYourWilly,

Well if i understood you correctly that is pretty much what's supposed to happen. System is running through checks to see if everything is fine , one of those is RAM check , during which RAM light is on.

Hey y’all,

I recently upgrade my motherboard, cpu, and ram to am5 and ddr5. Everything is working pretty well, however when I turn on the pc the dram error light on my motherboard turns on for the duration of startup, but then turns off once I’ve booted into windows and the pc runs pretty much completely fine. Anyone know why this light may appear? I want to make sure there’s not a large underlying issue that will cause problems later. Thanks!

It does briefly flash the CPU light and then holds the DRAM light when it begins to boot. What motherboard/brand are you using? I have an Aorus b650m elite
