Ya this seems like the usual issue caused by slow texture/asset loading, caused by either CPU or slow storage.

Try to free up a bit more space on the SSD, or clean up junk files/temp files.

If your game is on the HDD, try to put in on the SSD,

My current setup is an intel i5 9600k a ryzen 6750xt and 16gb ram. The best way to describe what's happening its like the computer forgets what it just saw, so if I turn around or look around too fast it starts dropping frames heavily and when something new happens it drops frames even worse. It's only started doing this recently the gpu is only 6 months old i don't know how old the cpu and ram is as I bought it from marketplace, I've had the computer for about 8 months. I'm not super tech savvy so please no hate.

What's the storage situation? SSD/HDD? How full is it? Is the RAM 2x8GB or 1x16GB?

Is the issue happening on the same game that was running fine? What's the game?

9600K is quite slow for this day and age, if it doesn't get help from an SSD with cache, some games might experience the issue that you mentioned.

Occassionaly visits the forum when I have nothing to do at work.

I have a 1tb hdd and a 240gb ssd it happens mostly on open world games like the witcher 3 pubg destiny 2 and hunt showdown games on my ssd do seem to run a bit better but only slightly and it's 2×8gb sticks of 2900 my hdd is at roughly 80% capacity and the ssd 70% I used to get 60fps on high settings in hunt showdown but now I'm averaging 50 I use a 4k display with super resolution upscaling from 1440p or 1080p i used my brother's 1080p monitor and it wasn't any better
