that gpu is going to be destroyed by the cpu

id say get it sicne its such a good price, but upgrade to a 5000 series down the line

for budget, 5700x will be just fine, but if you want the best of am4, look no further than 5800x3d

Thats a horrible list, balance is a thing. Whats your budget and we can help you out.

My First PC
CPU: Ryzen 5 5600x
Cooler: Asus TUF Gaming LC240
Motherboard: Asus ROG Strix B550-f gaming
RAM: 4x8 GB Corsair Vengeance RS (3200 MHz, CL16)

Isn't there something cheaper than this cpu? How do you calculate bottleneck? 1638481074-1630432176-chatmirroirstretch.png

hopw do calculate bottleneck

6600xt and under work great with ryzen 5600

anything above that (6700xt and above) require at least a 5700x to run smoothly without bottlnecks

as for the 6950xt series and above, 5800x3d, i am running this cpu together with a 7900xtx and no issues so far

Dont forget to mark as solution if your question is answered

the 5600 is a good option. Theres not really a way to calculate bottleneck, its just kinda obvious. The 2600 is old outdated and really trash while the 6800xt is still newish and is still a great card. Whats your budget??

Not really? A 5600 would work fine with a 6700xt, do you understand what bottlenecks are? They don't change performance or anything. A bottleneck is when a component (usually cpu or gpu) limits another component forcing it to not perform at its best.

Try and find a used 6700xt for cheaper but if you can't then the 6800xt is fine, a 5800x3d later down the line would be a great update. Note that AM4 soon will be a pretty dead platform.

yeah the 5700x is going to give better performance but you don't need a 5700, the 5600 is a decent cpu already and should be able to support a 6700xt pretty well. A 6800xt is too much for a 5600 though.

Try and find a used 6700xt for cheaper but if you can't then the 6800xt is fine, a 5800x3d later down the line would be a great update. Note that AM4 soon will be a pretty dead platform.

Do you think i could replace the 5 5600 with a 5 5500 1660852469-grosnez.png

No not if your gonna pair it with a 6800 xt. Then your gonna get a really heavy cpu bottleneck

6800xt for 260€ does seem abit cheap though so make sure its not a scam or something

You can resell that 2600 for 30-40€ and add to budget

Find a cheap used office case for the case

For optional optimizations

The psu should do fine powering the build but i would highly reccomend looking around the used market for 700-850w gold units which should be around 40-60€ used, you may be able to get cheaper units if you settle for bronze or you get a less recognized local brand thats still solid (ex silentiumpc). Make sure not to buy something over 7 years old as psus last 10-15 years for all psus not just the high quality ones (i have my 12yo dazumba 450w as proof)

Ryzen 5500 has a cache deficit but a very solid imc (5000+ ddr4 1:1 fclk, 4533+ dual rank) so i would highly reccomend buying some used samsung m378a1g43eb1 or hynix hma41gu6afr8n 8gb 2133 sticks and lazy overclocking to 4400mhz 18-26-26-56 1.5-1.6v vdimm (depends on how tight you want trfc to be), trfc 300/350, 1.3v vsoc, 2t cmd, everything else auto set. This can save abit of money but most importantly yeild some decent performance gains. Just pair with a 4.7-4.8ghz allcore oc to match or outright beat the 5600

Wraith stealth is kinda dinky so you can dumpster dive or buy a cheap lga 775 (like 2€ or something) copper core cooler and ziptie onto your cpu, its  weight isnt dangling on a tall finstack so you can still get good mounting with just zipties

Used power supplies are a no-no if your not experienced and know what your doing, that can easily be fatal if you don't know what your doing. The wraith stealth cooler is fine?? I don't understand where you got that?? For a cpu like a 5600 that has a tdp of like 65w that cooler is fine?

My First PC
CPU: Ryzen 5 5600x
Cooler: Asus TUF Gaming LC240
Motherboard: Asus ROG Strix B550-f gaming
RAM: 4x8 GB Corsair Vengeance RS (3200 MHz, CL16)
Storage: 1tb Samsung 980 Pro
Graphics Card: Asus Dual RTX 2060 OC
Case: Deepcool Matrexx 50
Power Supply: Corsair RM650x
Headset: Razer Blackshark V2
Keyboard: Corsair K70 Pro Mini (Speed Silver switches)
Mouse: Razer Viper Mini
Only changes I have made is I sold the 2060 for $235 AUD and bought a Powercolor Red Devil 6700 XT for $400 second hand (it was barely used, think I scored a deal on Ebay with that).

I love Photography (Using a Canon 60D)

Love F1, my favourite team is Ferrari and my favourite driver is Leclerc

what @filpo said, no. You could but it would be stupid. Your going to just put a heavier cpu bottleneck on and lose performance.

mate i dont even know the inner workings of a psu and you are calling me experienced =/

used psus are absolutely fine, forgot to add if you find a good deal on one post it here to verify quality. So does your logic just mean a psu that has been used for one day will insta blow up? Smh ppl gotta stop fearmongering others and making them waste uneccesary amounts of money especially on a budget build, ALL psus last 10-15 years so anything below 7 years of age i consider ok to buy, the rule of swapping psu every 5 years is retarded baseless fearmongering considering how long psus actually last

If you need proof i have 3 used psus all <20$, ones already 12 years old (bought 3 years ago iirc)

At this rate i might as well make it my goal to start ridding the pcmr of rubbish fearmongering by diving into fire pits and making sure theyre actually safe (buying used psus, high voltages, etc.), its evident noones enough of a man to test this stuff out themselves so ill just have to be the guy that does all the trials by fire

its risky, you don't know what that psu has been through. You don't know if this guy has been using a 750w on a system with a 13900k and a 4090. Also watch your language.

Again risk is wayyyyy overexaggerated by idiots that have never even bought a psu, i dont blame you if you fall for this shit but damn idiots gotta stop spreading nonsense misinformation when they have absolutely no experience (ex bclk oc corruption)

3 <20$ psus and all work fine to this day, i will keep buying used psus and i will keep rubbing the proof on everyones faces

Also everyone here is problably over 13 so swearing is fine anyways
