Unable to install AMD drivers.

Hi guys I got a RX 580 4GB eGPU and my graphics card is acting up lately. It refuses to install drivers, and the way it refuses is a blue screen (DRIVER_POWER_STATE_FAILURE). After the blue screen the laptop refuses to log in, and it’s stuck in (Please wait for the Local Session Manager). I tried DDU it multiple times and it just show the same results. Can someone help me fix it?

Also while it’s “installing” the drivers I noticed that it’s stuck in 92% (around 00:12 remaining). At that time the device manager picked up the Radeon RX 580 Series. And waiting for another 5 minutes and Mr. Blue Screen is here.

do you download via adrenaline or website

also maybe ur upright gpu holder is the place where it goes wrong, maybe put it in the regular pcie slot

DDU the drivers, reinstall windows, reinstall drivers

If it still crashes your VBIOS may be corrupt, reflash it

I have only ONE nvme pcie slot for my gpu, there’s no way I put it in the wrong slot

specifically the Adrenalin 23.5.3

Reseated it a few times. No results.

I’m on my countryside, there’s no secondary pc bench. Plus I don’t have a USB drive to reinstall windows

Not sure if everyone here is picking up that you're using an eGPU. Have you tried the eGPU on a different laptop or even a desktop?

Again, OP stated in his original post he's using an eGPU.

As I mentioned earlier, I’m using a eGPU on a Dell Vostro 3400 laptop

 

And no, I’m on my countryside, I’m currently have no access to my test bench or other alternatives.

Sorry for misunderstanding, I’m using a eGPU setup and do not have access to a open test bench or a PC.
