I am looking at a 3070 on eBay and it’s a good price and is a card that I love the looks of, but in the description it says it was used for mining for a year and had its fans replaced proactively (it is clearly part of a batch of gpus that all had their fans replaced). Is that a major red flag or no?

I mean, my 3070 was an ex mining card and it's been working great with no problems but there's always a risk when you buy used regardless of how well it has been taken care of.

That said - mining does wear out fans quite often due to their constant operation so it makes sense that the seller would preemptively replace it. Maybe a bit paranoid as it's only been a year but I'd probably consider that a good thing tbf.

Does the seller take returns or is it marked as "for parts only"?
