I've got a few devices I try to plug in (SSD Enclosure, USB Display, etc) which result in either constant connect/disconnect, or they just flicker, or cause the entire USB bus to reset (causing all devices to stop responding for a time). It would be really cool if MB manufacturers would show us how much power is available on the USB bus and what devices are using it. AFAIK, there's no way to find this information from Windows.....

USBDeview is free software you can use to help you check usb power and other data on your ports: https://www.nirsoft.net/utils/usb_devices_view.html

You should also be able to check USB power data in device manager, device details.

Thanks for that. I do see that this tool shows me the assigned power for a number of devices. More power than I expected. But it doesn't show the available power on a bus or identify which USB bus the devices are plugged into. (USB Hub/Port or USB Path column are empty)
