Pair this up with a 550w psu or better.

Don't tell me it's that ancient EVGA 430 W PSU. It is so crappy... (no offense to you)

If I wanted something that's halfway decent, I'd wait and see if the RTX 4060 reviews are any good. Probably an < 8 GB GPU, but given the games you play. You should be OK

That GPU is going to cost 300 usd (idk the usd->quid conversion, but let's be positive and assume no more than 330 pound GPU)

You need to save more money and upgrade the PSU because your almost certain EVGA won't handle modern GPUs.

Your very limited with that psu, but 2nd hand you can get a 2080 for about 250 quid and then a new Corsair tx550m at 50 which should be fine

used 2080 for £250 is a no-go

It's 8 GB and It's USED. You don't buy used unless it's crazy cheap BC you get NO warranty, you DON'T get the new technologies, the RESELL value is LOWER, and simply bc you don't know if the electronics are in good condition or not.

Taking into account 4060 ti MSRP (£389), I'd say the regular 4060 will cost like £309 at most. Get something like that instead. Don't bother with used things if not necessary.

Also, 115 W rated power-draw vs 285 W power-draw. Let alone shipping & environmental costs that usually come should you import the GPU.

There's no reason to look in the past by going 2080.

considering bri*ish PSU market right now especially on sub 750W, +1. or if you have to go new, @PDifolco list hits it.

Bro wants to use his gpu tho and not resell. 2nd hands fine, I've been using a 2nd hand 2070 for ages now, literally no problems with it. Also if ops budget is 350 quid then spending about 315 isnt doable bc then that leaves 45 quid for a psu and not to mension op said 350 absolute max so prob want under it. I mean in an ideal situation 4060 wud be great but yaknow

Sorry, but personal experience doesn't matter at all. Statistics may matter, electronics background may matter as well. But you are talking about a single product running a single scenario for an specific period of time.

Now, my experience is different. I have bought several used components and most of them fail within a year. Many people think used parts are the saving grace of budget computing but they just aren't.

Besides, you say you have no problems, but not being able to notice any problems is different from not having problems in the short or long term.

The reality is, you never know what you are getting when you buy used. It may last for lots of years or it may be dead the day you receive it. I mean, even new products can be either DOA or malfunctioning. What do you think that happens when you buy used? It's like playing russian rulette.
