The ryzen 7 5700x cuz its the best price to performance 8 core cpu out there and you have to do video editing too so that's why

Thermalright PA120SE cooler cuz its the best cooler for the price nowadays

B550 tomahawk as its the best ryzen 5000 series mobo for about 230 aud

32 gigs of ram since your doing some productivity (such as video editing and for 'future proofing')

Storage since its the cheapest gen 4 1tb drive (but a 970 evo plus could be better for about 20 aud more)

6800 xt since its better than the 4070 and has more vram for the same price

power supply since its the highest wattage psu for the budget

case since its a really good budget case for the price

Budget (including currency): 2000 AUD

Country: Australia

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: OW2, HALO, as well video editing for a youtube channel i am starting.

Other details

ok so im building a gaming pc but i also want it to be able to do work like video editing and some light image and graphical design.

https://au.pcpartpicker.com/user/Invisiblejedi/saved/PXP7wP

Im really new to this, i havent owened a pc more involved than a gaming laptop. So yeah, complete newbee.

Im hopeing that i can get some feed back on my parts list and anywhere that i can save some money without compremising performance too much.

Upgradeability is a big plus for me. As i want to be able to keep this pc for many years. So id like to get atleast the bones of the new gen stuff, if possible. Again im not super sure how it all works but im learning fast.

Thanks for the sujestion. Altho i am a bit... unsure, about getting a motherboard that i may have to update before i can even use. I honestly have no idea how to do that.

Also could you explain the choices here a little bit? I just want to understand how to pick parts better.

Thats great. I think im starting to understand this more. I have changed the parts list settings. I didnt even realise.

I had actually choosen the same cpu. Altho i went for a water cooling option. I dont really want it to be super loud (altho thats not the end of the world)

Also i went with a radion 6750 XT.

As will be needing to get a monitor and keyboard inside my budget also, i already have a mouse.

btw air cooling is actually pretty quiet with this air cooler (thermalright PA120SE)

Also the 6750 xt is only a slight overclock over the 6700 xt so there's no point paying more for the 6750 xt imo

Oh the moniter doesnt matter at all. Im was only planning on getting the cheapest one i could and upgrading it in a few months after my wallet recovers.

This has been a big help. Thank you. Some slight tweaks and i think im almost ready to go.
