You wont see any massive difference between 5.0 and 3.0 in games even those with DirectStorage, between the version its only .5 second delta in loading times in Forspoken. Having an nvme drive in the first place is already a huge clutch for DirectStorage supported title.

AMD is super cagey above 6000, and do prefer lower latency RAM anyway. And id definitely pick up ram with EXPO profile below 1.3V due to the current SOC meltdown issue.

But yeah for 1080p this is a banger build.

If you just game you can go and get AMD Radeon RX6950XT instead while you still can. That thing perform within 7900XT realm in 1080p.

Budget (including currency): Around $2,000 USD

Country: United States

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: fps games: Call of Duty, Destiny 2, R6 etc.

Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc):

Here is my planned component list so far

CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 7800XD3

Motherboard: Asus ROG STRIX B650E-I GAMING WIFI

RAM: G.Skill Trident Z5 RGB 32 GB (2 x 16) DDR5-6400

SSD: Corsair MP700 2 TB M.2-2280 PCIe 5.0

GPU: Asus TUF GAMING OC RTX 4070 12 GB

Case: Cooler Master NR200P MAX (comes with AIO and 850w PSU pre-installed as well as a riser cable for the GPU)

PCPartPicker list for everything except the case: https://pcpartpicker.com/user/Alexpsi/saved/#view=rnpV4D

Case link: https://www.coolermaster.com/catalog/max/mini-itx/nr200p-max/

I Have 2 monitors one 144hz 24 in 1080p connected through DisplayPort and a 24 in 75hz in 1080p connected through HDMI. I have all the necessary peripherals. I am upgrading because my current system is outdated and can not keep up with modern games, also I would like to downsize to ITX because I do not have much Desk space to work with and I would like for my pc to be on the desk.

In regards to the Case and the GPU compatibility, Cooler master states that there is adequate room to fit the ASUS TUF 4070 but it is a tight fit. And the card should get sufficient cooling as a result of the mesh side panel of the NR200P MAX.

Please let me know what you guys think and I would greatly appreciate your feedback.

Yeah the only reason I went with the 6400 was because i figured why not for not much more in terms of price but if there is issues with it, then under 6000 is still plenty for what i need. Thanks for your help.
