windows 8.1 start menu

I need a program for a start menu for windows 8.1, I was using classic shell but recently when i restart it freezes up every time i open it for like 6 minutes.

I use Start8.  It costs $5 but it is WELL worth it.  It is exactly like the windows 7 menu but you can change way more things.

I would recommend simply using the Start Screen. It's very functional, especially with the features added in W8.1 Update 1. Pin all the stuff you use, set your desktop background to be used in the start screen as well, leave the desktop clean and available for temporary files and watch the magic happen.
