I am planning a build for this summer and want as much feedback as possible. I will be using it for 1080p gaming on a single monitor and want to max out games like battlefield 3/4 and crysis 3. I will also be editing using programs like vegas or preimer cs6. Again suggestions help and I just wanted to get this out here.

Budget of $2500 but I am trying to keep it lower for budget for peripherals.

In most times i would suggest switching the Nvidia GPUs with AMD ones but as you will use editing programs, NVIDIA is the definitely the way to go (because of CUDA).

Sorry if my English is not perfect, but it isn't my native language :)

It's a nice build, here are my suggestions.

Don't bother getting that sound card, your motherboard already has a comparable DAC. If you want a seriously well performing DAC and amplifier, go for the Essence One.

The optical drive isn't needed for most people.

The 900D is a better choice in my opinion.

850W is a tad excessive for your build, consider something like the AX750.

You can also save some money with the Maximus V Formula, the Extreme is a bit of a gimmick since you really won't see much of a performance benefit, especially as compared to LGA2011.

Thanks for the advice. I might ditch the sound card until I can afford something like an essence. I like an optical drive just incase I need one and it makes installing windows easier if I am correct. 850 watt is the least voltage in the hale 90 v2 series and I want to stick wih those since it goes with the case. I love the phantom 820, I have even seen it in person so I have confidence in it and I am not much for the simplistic design of the 900D. Finally I can get an extreme for the same price as a formula and I would rather update he graphics by just adding another $350 card instead of replacing what is in there and paying another $800

Linus has a video on how to install Windows with a 4gb USB drive. Which is the same as using a disk, as long as you have a good key.

I think a 1tb drive is a bit small for editing/gaming purposes. I'd personally go for 2 3tb barracudas in raid 0.

A single gtx 780 should be a a much better bang for your buck. Also, the cost for a gold power supply is not worth it. You're better off with a cheaper bronze plus.

Anyway, why that motherboard? I feel that it's a waste of good money.
