Backpack carabiners

Hi.

 

I ordered a backpack yesterday, and I'm just wondering it new ones come with improved carabiners, and if not, am I eligible for new and improved ones?

it does not & yes you would be. they showed a mechanism to replace it last Wan show, but if iirc Linus said the new carabiners are going to be smaller than the ones used in the demo & all of that stuff still has to be produced, so it is still some time away.

 

my best guess is, they will be sending out the replacement kits & any new backpacks manufactured would get the new carabiners. while the already-produced backpacks would be shipped with the kit. depending on how big their stock is, going in to manually replace all the backpack zippers might not be the ideal solution when you can just ship the replacement kit with it.  - this part is just pure speculation on my side though.
