Multi-SSDs Config, no HDDs

Go to solution Solved by WhatTheQuack,

Linus has an 8 SSD raid 0 setup in his PC, but he keeps telling us that it is a stupid idea. If just one drive fails, he will loose everything. Don't do this unless you are able to run nightly backups as Linus does.

As for the safest raid mode, I think either 1 or 5 is the safest (Each have redundancy, but don't perform as well  as raid 0)

what do you guys think about using several SSDs for storage, and witch raid mode should make them run the fastest and the safest, because for now i use 2x160GB Sams SSDs, and i'm thinking about hitting the 750GB or even 1TB mark,

note : i don't use HDDs because i don't need that much Storage, 500GB is the most i can fill, i just know that

Why not upgrade your GPU before mucking about in high end SSD's.

Well like for the price of a 750-1TB SSD you could get a better GPU and a decent hard drive.

well let's just give the guy what he wants although I can't comment much on this since I don't raid mine.

linus made some guide about raid you should check that out and I'm not sure if it will work with ssd like raid 10 or something or if you can afford it imo.

Live your life like a dream.

nah, my OCed 660Ti PE is doing just fine my friend, and i can't go back to Slow HDDs after seeing the Blast of the SSD, and i don't want to got for a single 750GB SSD, i want to add other ones to my current config
