Thinking of Upgrading. Wanted some opinions.

Hello All,

I wanted some advice of my next build. I have been some issues with my motherboard recently, and figured I would start planning my next build. The only items i really based my build around were the CPU and GPU. From what I read, the i5 13600K is more than enough and I wouldn't get any value in upgrade to a i7 13700K. For GPU the 4070 ti is the best "bang for your buck" or so I'm told. I would appreciate any input!

I might want a 1000W PSU just for extra headroom, but otherwise your build looks fine.

PSU was one of the item I wasn't sure about. I appreciate your input.

AIO too expensive for what it is, a 240mm AIO for $200 is a terrible value. Also top mounted radiator in such a small case could be an issue with height clearance. Swapped to a decent 360 AIO that is available.

980 Pro 1TB is expensive, P5 Plus would offer the same user experience for much less.

I wouldn't say that 4070 Ti offer the best value, 6950XT is sometimes around $700 and that offers better value.

1000W PSU if you intend to upgrade your GPU within 2-4 years, if not then sticking with 850W would be better.

ARGB fans because you seem to want RGB and the case has no RGB fans.

As for windows license, you really could buy win 10 licenses for less than $50 somewhere else, then get a free upgrade to win 11.

Pretty insane statement to say, you have source on who told that to you?

Time to do some good old fashioned "massive amount of parts reuse". Windows 10 can be upgraded to Windows 11 for free, just tie your keys to a microsoft account before you transfer to make sure that the thing wont just deactivates itself by accident. But beyond that, we can reuse everything in a self-explanatory way, including the X62. Pull the fans off the S340 as we're not gonna use it at all, unless if you wanna run it faceless in which case you can reuse it too.
