Upgraded my PC from a GTX 1080Ti to a 4070Ti. Now PC keeps restarting. Long it lasted was about 10 before is restarts.

GPU load doesn’t seem to matter. Even idle on desktop, it will restart. Seems stable in safe mode so i feel like its driver or software related.

Things i have done to fix the issue:

I used DDU to do fresh driver install, i have updated motherboard bios, i have monitored temps, switch between pcie gen 3-4, clear cmos.

Short of doing a clean installation of windows, i am at a loss. Thoughts? Did i just get a defective GPU?

my system is as follows:

Ryzen 5800x

Asus Strix B550-i

asus tuf RTX 4070Ti

Two 8gb Gskill trident z

EVGA 850 watt SFX PSU
