I recently bought the 2021 M1 Pro Macbook Pro and some of the keys on the keyboard have gaps, so that the backlight is visible from the sides, while others are like completely flat to the chassis and no light bleeds through the sides.

Are all macs like this or is this only a thing with mine and should I replace it for a new one?

Thanks in advance!

I have a 2019 16" MacBook Pro and my keyboard is similar. How much I'm able to see around the edges of keys also depends on how bright the backlight is and what angle I'm looking at it from.

It may be that some keys are just "stuck" a little bit from the factory, and the problem goes away with use.

recent purchase so still under a full warranty....just use it for a while. I would make a couple of photos and after a couple more weeks do the same. Is it worse go to the store and get a replacment. Has it become less obvious then the post above me is the easy solution and it goes away with use.
