For the price that 3080s usually hang around, you might as well get a 4070ti instead. Anything more than a 6700xt or 3060ti equivalent would be mostly considered overkill for a 1080p monitor, so I'd probably get either of those depending on what you use them for

why arent there any AMD gpus here? go with 6700xt

nvidea makes good gpus indeed, but would you want to pay 700 for a 3070 or 400 for 3070 performance, exactly, amd has the upper hand in price

Of these options, the 3060 Ti would be nice. But I'm in total agreement with @Blqckout that the 6700 XT would be the real way to go. 3070 performance for $400 and 12GBs of VRAM. But if you insist on a 3080, just buy the 4070 Ti because it doesn't make sense to buy a 3080 new at these garbage prices.
