Posted February 9, 2023 Hello, I've been rocking my 1080 for a couple of years now but I feel like it's time for an upgrade. I mainly play 1080p games. I was thinking to grab a RTX3080. I'm not sure though, what cards would you guys recoomend? Link to comment https://linustechtips.com/topic/1487125-what-gpu-to-get/ Share on other sites
 Posted February 9, 2023 For the price that 3080s usually hang around, you might as well get a 4070ti instead. Anything more than a 6700xt or 3060ti equivalent would be mostly considered overkill for a 1080p monitor, so I'd probably get either of those depending on what you use them for Link to comment https://linustechtips.com/topic/1487125-what-gpu-to-get/#findComment-15792558 Share on other sites
 Posted February 9, 2023 Of these options, the 3060 Ti would be nice. But I'm in total agreement with @Blqckout that the 6700 XT would be the real way to go. 3070 performance for $400 and 12GBs of VRAM. But if you insist on a 3080, just buy the 4070 Ti because it doesn't make sense to buy a 3080 new at these garbage prices.
