Hi,

I decided to build a pc in fractal ridge, which was not the greatest idea, came with some complications.

I also probably underestimated power of the cpu and installed NH-L9x65 and lately my cpu is thermal throttling. Installed the thermaltake bend correction frame which helped to some degree but the cpu still runs hot, I am also planning to experiment with undervolting a bit but did not have time to do so.

I did some research and found out about a cooler, which should be suitable for my use, it is Id-cooling IS-55.

However only place i can get it in our country is from aliexpress from this seller:

I am not sure about this way, never purchased something from here, do you think it is legit?

My concern is if this cooler fits with my current MB and RAM (will all be listed below) and if not if i can modify it to fit.

Also if anyone has some other alternatives/solutions I am happy to hear them!

Thanks for any input, I am not that experienced and building/gaming is only my freetime hobby when I get a bit myself time.

the cooler itself seems to be a low profile gimmick cooler, like any other prebuilt it should thermal throttle, that fan doesn't look like it would provide the cooling the cpu needs form just the picture. 120x15mm fans are not a good fit for a cooler.

I can, however this one outperforms it.

It looks bigger indeed

Maybe a BeQuiet Dark Rock TF2 will be better and easier to obtain

  • 4 weeks later...

I was running into overheating issues with my 13600kf aswell, Stock clocks and everything disabled in bios was still thermal throttling on a 360mm aio.

I just received a Thermalright CPU contact frame and it lowered my temperatures a fair bit, I was getting around 80c or so on stock clocks. I'm now able to hit 5.5 all P cores and 4.3 all E cores and still not thermal throttle.
