Getting black bars on rust!

Hi before this new industrial update I was easily putting my resolution to 1600x1024 - it was stretched automatically and i had no blackbars.

Now all of a sudden I'm getting black bars and cant seem to remove them and go back to stretched. i go into NVidia and it just automatically puts it back into 1920x1080 160

What do I do to get my res back to normal? 1600x1024 without no black bars?

I never actually had to change anything in the settings ever.

You just completely missed what his question even was. Where does he say anything about refresh rate? what are you even talking about? Hes talking about getting black bars in rust after the update, which was not happening before the update. I have the same problem.
