[Solution] ASUS - AIMesh - Node not found

Hey everyone,

 

TL;DR:

Remove all connected Ethernet cables that are connected to the router node except for the WAN one, connect your disconnected node with an Ethernet cable to your router (it should be connected to your node in the WAN port and on your router to the LAN port). Reboot both and using the WebUI look for the node now.

 

For the better part of today I tried to make my ASUS ZenWifi mesh router find my disconnected node, no matter what I tried including connecting the 2 with Ethernet cable and resetting the node did not work. I saw some posts about it here and none of the solutions worked for me. I wanted to share what did solve the problem so if someone search for this in the future the will find it here.
