Will CPU bottleneck the GPU

Not sure if this is the right section, I have a build in mind so I am unsure whether my CPU will bottleneck the GPU and it's relatively new so I can't do simple research.

Right now the CPU I have in my possession is an i5-13400f and I'm planning to get a 3060ti/3070 and my question is if I will have any bottlenecking.

 

Also same question as above but for the previous gen i5-12400. Thank you.

13400 will give you more frames but with either you'll get good frames

 

13400f is the same chip

Depending on the price a 12600k would be a better choice

The 13400F is just a slightly lower clocked 12600KF, so you can base your research on the 12600K and it'll be fine.

 

As for "bottlenecking," it entirely depends on the games you're playing, but I doubt a 12400F or a 13400F would bottleneck either of those GPUs outside of extremely CPU bound scenarios.

 

What games are you actually playing?

Something like Forza Horizon 5, COD MW2, R6, New World...

The 13400f is ~40-50€ less than the 12600k over here.

Yeah go for the 13400f then. Your best bet. And in those games you'll be perfectly fine with no bottlenecking.
