Free Color Animation Software

I've used stykz awhile ago and I had a huge project and it crashed on me so that discouraged me to use it and I want a colored animation that isn't based on stick figures.

I have a crappy PC so thought this would be fun to do and not worry about needing a better PC.

If you wanted to know I got this idea from watching South Park.

If I understood your post correctly, I could recommend blender. It's completely free. It's pretty professional and takes a lot of learning though. http://www.blender.org/
