Stuck in BIOS Screen

Go to solution Solved by RiffTheRaff,

Which Operations System do you want to install?

You have to insert an install medium for the OS you want to install.

It seems, that you have plugged in some kind of USB device which is not bootable.

What does the USB device contain?

I have finished my first build. Upon booting up the system, it flashes the MSI logo briefly and immediately enters the BIOS. After changing a couple of items, I save and attempt to boot bit get sent back to the BIOS. I have found that I am getting error code 56 - "Invalid CPU type or speed."

Here are the system specifications:

  • Intel i7 11700K
  • MSI H510I Pro Wifi
  • Geforce RTX 2060
  • Noctua NH-L9i
  • Crucial P2 1TB
  • Corsair Vengence DDR4 3200 MHz
  • Hyte case w/700 w PSU

Attached also are some pictures of some BIOS screens that I hope are helpful.

Welcome to the forum.

Could you insert your photos into the post instead of adding them as downloads? This would be convenient and most of the community is not willing to download files from new members.

Best suggestion (not having looked at the pics) make sure you allow the bios to discover the cpu and reset all bios settings to default.

I was attempting to install windows 11. When I created the installation media I just dragged and dropped the tool into the thumb drive without going through the setup process. After doing so, it booted right up and went to OS setup. Thank you for the help in this and wish yall a Happy New Year.
