network adaptor reset

when I boot pc network adaptor working fine yet when I play a game online it resets the adaptor to the down speed of 1mbs, as long as i don't play a game it stays at 6+ mbs as much as I want it faster than that 1mbs is worse plus its when I play games so if I'm playing a competitive games it disconnects while waiting for waiting for it to update, im unsure as what it is thought maybe a virus but no and i thought maybe battleye but it happens on single player games too, anyone had this issue or have a fix thank you in advance.
