PC deadlock/hardlock when gaming!

Hello guys. After like a month ago my pc started to deadlock when playing games. I buyed a Alienware AW252HFA monitor and started to deadlock on it. I mean i dont think that the monitor is the problem or it can be? It can happen anytime like sometimes 2 times in half an hour and sometimes like 1 time in 4 hours. My pc just deadlocks, i can’t move my mouse, can’t use my keyboard, (caps lock doesn’t work) the monitor just freezes and i need to shut the pc down via the power button or disable the power cable. Sound is going on in the background. I did try so many solutions from the internet but nothing helps. I have installed a new windows 10, all the drivers updated. My pc was 3 times in a servis shop, they tested the pc and it’s all fine. I’m frustrated… My specs are:

Ryzen 9 3900X

RX 5700XT ASUS STRIX

ASUS ROG CROSSHAIR HERO VIII WI FI

RM 850X

SAMSUNG 980PRO SSD 1TB

1TB HDD WD BLACK

G SKILL TRIDENTZ 2x16 3200MHZ

NZXT KRAKEN X62 COOLER

Can someone help? Thank you 😄

Ryzen and their supporting boards are known for RAM stability issues and sometimes they take awhile to manifest. I would check the Asus QVL for RAM with this board using "Matisse" processors (it can make a difference which series processor is used). If your particular RAM SKU (part #) is not on the QVL, that could be an issue as stability cannot be guaranteed. Case in point, I used a kit that made my 5900X act like a junkie in detox, was not QVL'd for the board and processor. The one I replaced it with was. Same exact timings, density, rank, speed and capacity.

I don't badmouth others' input, I'd appreciate others not badmouthing mine. *** More below ***

Due to the above, I've likely revised posts <30 min old, and do not think as you do.

  • 1 month later...

Thank you for your response. My pc was in the servis shop so i didn’t have time to respond. They tested the pc and did reset the BIOS to default so now the pc boots up fine on 2133mhz ram. After the freezes i was starting to get BSOD also… I checked the QVL list of my motherboard and my ram was not on the list (G.Skill), so i ordered a new ram now from Corsair that is on then QVL list. When it comes i will replace it and see if the ram will run stable on DOCP standard. 3 years my pc was runing fine with the G.Skill ram on DOCP standard, but the same ram is not on the QVL list…?
