so this started yesterday, but no matter what im doing (havent tried in games) my mouse will stutter every 1-3sec no matter which mouse i use, my corded or wireless, ive deleted the drivers and no luck. isnt really a performance issue but it is annoying when pointer doesnt end up where its supposed to be

I take it that you didn't install any sketchy software or messed around with the mouse settings in your OS or mouse control software?

Have you tried using a different USB port? I know it seems like an obvious step but it's possible you just have an issue with one of your USB Ports. Also, what surface are you using for your mouse? Certain surfaces, such as glass, are NOT good for mice and can cause the issue you're describing. Maybe try using a book, mousepad, etc and seeing if it makes any difference.

 

Otherwise, I'd have a look into the Mouse Settings inside windows. You might find poking around in there might fix it

havent touched any of that, its a cheapo plixio so only stuff i new i could adjust is the push button dpi switch but that wasnt the issue

normally a wooden desk, been fine for years, did try 4 other surfaces and no luck. but will try swapping usb port

no luck on usb port swap, swapped ports on mobo and to the case and same issue. and checked settings, changing speed did nothing turned other things on and off and no changes to the stutter issue
